IZZA KIZZA MIXXA

I’m not big on picking ‘next big things’, but if I had to ( if the ghost of Heath Ledger showed up in full Joker make-up and put a squirt-gun full of acid to my head) it would be Izza Kizza. I first heard him on the brilliant 88 keys Mixtape a while back (The first full mixtape produced by Kanye West. Oh you missed that one? Catch it after the jump…) and I found myself playing his track over and over again, although I’d never heard of the guy. Yesterday his Nick Catchdubs-blended mixtape ‘Kizzaland’ drops and whaddayaknow? He’s the next Timbaland protégé! (You know, after that Russian guy who won Eurovision.) The ‘real’ album won’t be out until 2009, but by then you should be well familiar with this gap-toothed MC. Who can resist lyrics like ‘Mammajammabananabofanapunani’ over a Timbo beat? Straight out yo momma’s udder, bitch!
