With a name like “Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head”, you’re never going to sell out a stadium. Then again, it does give you a free pass to wear dayglo Indian headgear and making a refrain that goes ‘Do you like my ponytail?/Yes I do/I really do”.

Love the album title, too. I’m a real sucker for a good title. My current favourites are ‘Nausea, 1979′ (by Haruki Murakami) and ‘Look who’s having sex with mommy’ (by Chelsea handler). The stuff I’m working on for future KNOTORYUS-releases is currently filed under the working title ‘WAKING UP WITH A CHANGED FACE’, a reference to a 1976 essay by Joseph Brodsky. In the essay, he briefly touches on his theory that there are only two types of creative work: one is entertainment, the other is waking up with a changed face.

The soon to be released Peter, Bjorn & John “Seaside Rock” is very close to cover perfection if you ask me. (A band’s place in MySpace)

The book/art show beautiful losers has been the inspiration for a new documentary about street art and outsider art that made it into the galleries and mainstream culture, featuring the likes of Shepard Fairey (Obey), Harmony Korine, Kaws, Glen E. Friedman, Robert Crumb and Mike Mills.

The good people of La MJC (Their showroom in Paris is dope, by the way. We stoppped by last year and they served us damn good coffee and the opportunity to make our own Nike sneaks from scratch…) have defaced the cover of French Fashionista Bible ‘Jalouse’ for their ‘street’ issue. Kaws lends a mickey-mousey hand.

Every man should have a fighting shirt, a f*ck it hat and a victory vest. Like this one. It’s an Original Fake, designed by Kaws. It’s actually called the ‘Victory Vest’. Sober and clean on the outside, but when you flip it around the monsters come out to play. (I think we all dated someone like that once..)

We’ve long been fans of Leah McSweeny’s brand Married To The Mob and since we’ve met the woman our level of respect has only grown. Why? This girl decided to start her dope brand after drinking way too many margarita’s with her best friend. She used the money from a harassment-lawsuit she filed against the NYPD to fund her first laptop and get an apartment to set up MOBshop. She breast feeds lil baby Kier (named after Deee-Lite hotness Lady Miss Kier) while checking her emails. She puts her supermodel-sister in lesbo chique campaigns to promote her stuff and in the accompanying video says things like “If I’d been a guy, I’d be hard right now”. AND she collaborated with KAWS on this dope bikini! Only 200 will be made… (more pics after the jump)
