KNOTORYUS is now live
To celebrate the birth of our new production dept., we threw a little pagan party. There was an average drinking quota of two bottles of champagne per capita and the grill was fired up for 12 hours non-stop. To protect the identity of all those involved, we’re only showing you a glimpse of the ‘morning after’. If you look closely at the pics, you’ll see the crowd got a sneak peak at our new T-shirt protoypes , draped across a pagan decor of sandblasted cocoa trees and Canadian elk fournishing.

INTERVIEW: KENZO MINAMI
Kenzo Minami is here to save the world from mediocrity and irony. He worked with Reebok, Raf Simons and Flaunt Magazine. His most recent NY exhibition was officially opened by Chloë Sevigny and his most recent interview was officially conducted by KNOTORYUS.
Quote:
Knotoryus: The biggest cliché/misconception about Japan is…
Kenzo: That we are all polite. People have no idea.

INTERVIEW: BONDE DO ROLE
Just after signing with Domino Records and right before they hit the UK, touring with Ed Banger, Brazilian fighting force Bonde Do Role took some time out to talk to KNOTORYUS about their favourite party drinks & fashion designers, meeting Marie from Roxette and boys dressing up as butch lesbians.
Knotoryus: Who’s the coolest famous person you’ve met since you’ve started?
All at once: JOHN WATERS! MARIE FROM ROXETTE! WOO HOO!
Knotoryus: Who would you like to meet next?
Marina: Courtney Love.
Gorky and Pedro: Our real dads.

ZINO
We are officially impressed by this cover of the new Japanese ZINO magazine. Mostly because of their slogan: “Don’t be proud of being rich, dazzle ‘em with your good sense.” Amen.
Knotoryus @ BLACK LIPS
Knotoryus went to see the Black Lips and all we got was a bruised back, a free shot of Whiskey and a stack of pics.

The new single ‘Cold Hands’ will be out June 4. You can see the video Here.
MEN’s FASHION: smart jackets
Nom de Guerre has the best name, the best cut and the best look for men’s jackets this summer.
TOM SACHS vs. PRADA
The controversial artist Tom Sachs has recently released a monograph of his work. It’s published by Fondazione Prada, Milan. Which is quite odd, considering Sachs made his fame by building a replica of a Nazi Death Camp out of a Prada ShoeBox. (The work was entitled ‘Prada Death Camp’). Miuccia even threw him a big party with Biz Markie on the decks.

TREND: TWO DUDES AND A MICROPHONE
THE NEW SCHOOL:
1. Best Fwends
Our Current favourite band on the Moshi Moshi label is called BEST FWENDS. Two crazy dudes from Austin, Texas rip it up punk style with high speed pop. Sounds like: all-kinds-of-core (dibs on that genre term by the way).
Be their fwend on MySpace
Watch a documentary of their first gig, ever! (including Best Dad interview…)
2. Flight Of The Conchords
Two dudes from New Zeeland play funny folk (dibs!) that tickles your funny bone like it’s a mandolin. Their quirky on-stage antics have earned them a new show on HBO.
