The wait is over. The Drought Vol. 5 Mixtape by Lil’ Wayne has finally dropped. It includes the new single off of the long anticipated debut ‘The Carter 3′, which I’m posting here. (If you’re a Lil’ Wayne fan, you’ll be happy to know this is a zillion times better than that silly ‘Lollipop’ song that’s been floating around.) I’ve been waiting for the ‘Carter’ debut to drop for the last two years. (Actually, I’m almost sick of it and it isn’t even out yet.) Lil’ Wayne is probably the first artist to create hype, suffer from backlash, overcome drug addiction (sizzurp: it’s a killer), disappear into a studio for months (with Kanye) and tour the world to greet thousands of fans without ever releasing one official album.
