Gonzales, now (officially) called Chilly Gonzales, has released a mixtape with piano interpretations of Fifty Cent, Lil’ Wayne, Beyonce, etc… mixed with interview snippets and even a Rocky monologue.

Gareth Pugh’s vision of summer looks like the kind of garbs a friendly, advanced society would wear in an RPG game. He literally went from seeing everything in black and white to going for soft shades of grey.

Matthew Stone is (again) responsible for the soundtrack, which kind of sounds like the Spring Summer soundtrack from last year with a bit of the dark romance of Requiem for a Dream mixed in.

If you haven’t heard ‘Hospice’ by The Antlers yet: you can go to hype machine and click ‘Zeitgeist’. It’s in there at number 8 in the ‘Best Albums of 2009′ chart.

Best cancel your appointments for the rest of the day, though. This is an album about cancer, death, guilt and the inability to rescue your loved ones from pain. No flinching.

Key track ‘Bear’ just received its video treatment: an allegorical piece about a young woman dragging a giant black orb through a forest.

Amazing song. Amazing band.

I am a hugehuge Russell Brand fan.

I’m re-reading ‘My Booky Wook” for the sixth time in two years. I’ve got all  his DVD’s and I even bought his last book “Articles Of Faith”.

I remember LGF going “You know you’ve just bought a book filled with football columns, right?”

I went :”Sure mate. What’s your point?” and proceeded to read the whole damn thing. Twice.

So, I’m superstoked that the ‘Get Him To The Greek’ trailer just popped up…
