We are kick–push–off to the land of offline living, scaring local French farmers by blasting the Radio Soulwax 80′s Hardcore mix from our boombox.
Regular service will resume late August. Feeling dopeness-deprived? Drop by the KNOTORYUS padawans at Project Ü.
If you don’t think Ghostface is one the greatest MC’s of all time, I will fight you.
Ghostface Killah is the Vladimir Nabokov of rap. Who else writes lyrics like these:
“Swing the John McEnroe, rap rock’n’roll Tidy Bowl, gung-ho pro, Starsky with the gumsole”
or makes you think this is an actual sentence:
“Scooby snack jurassic plastic gas booby trap”
Listening to Ghostface Killah lyrics is like watching rainbows form in the sky or butterflies emerge from pupa. I don’t understand how it happens. I don’t know why it makes me happy. But it does.
Watch The Throne is coming out on August 4.
This kind of messes me up because I will be chilling in a mansion in France and I had to sign a no internet clause. Also I’m pretty sure they won’t be selling this album in the nearest (22 miles from where we’re at is what I’m told) supermarché…
I think Stromae is an extremely talented human being.
And I’m also really loving this video because my cousin’s extremely talented son is playing the young Self.
Watch the video after the jump!
+ shout out to you, Sas!
I’ve got a huge Best Of The Weeks coming up for you. But first I have a confession to make.
The past couple of weeks after doing mad researching, writing, producing while raising a polite little stand-up comedian, I’ve been indulging in this guilty pleasure late at night…
I watched the first season of this insane series called MOB Wives. And when I say insane : I really mean that this show is utterly and totally out of its freakin’ mind.
I’m gonna let this Funny Or Die spoof do the explaining. It perfectly captures the essence of this train wreck.
Watch it after the jump : you wil be in stitches, I promise.
Just when you thought official Lil’ Tunafish mixtapes were about to be extinct: here’s the bait for Tha Carter iv. Say what you will, when Wayne gets to cruise missile speed, he still goes hard (for your face, like Oil of Olay) while the rest go figure. OK, enough with the half-assed quotes. Download the thing already.
“This is for the haters who doubted the chemistry.”
The ‘the sound of Johannesburg’ mixtape, a BLKJKSSNDSYSTM collaboration with Domus Magazine and Athi-Patra Ruga, is a real treat for anyone who likes to step off the beaten hype machine track.
Finally! Radio Soulwax is kicking off. 24 hours of themed mixtapes, with every second of it accompanied by visuals based on the cover art of the records being played. The first mix is ‘Introversy’: all intros, all the time.
UPDATE!! TRACKLISTING + Important fan information about release date.
I don’t want to say : Release this shit already.
