When I was a teenager I loved discovering beautiful garnments . Next to being a normal school kid, I became a dance teacher at a fairly young age (15) and what little time I had left between going to regular and dance classes, preparing dope choreographies, teaching my students and hanging out with my friends, was spent looking at clothes. And since I spent so much time surrounded by other people, I mostly shopped alone…

For those of you interested in the advertising side of KNOTORYUS, I’ll be blogging from the Cannes Lions 2012 for national newspaper De Standaard (Dutch).

I’m flying there tonight with the top brass from Brandhome, the Antwerp agency where my nametag tells people I’m the resident Senior Copywriter.

I had fun these past couple of weeks! Between seeing “Watch The Throne” live and some of  my work being plastered on the cover of a national newspaper it’s been quite a ride. I wish I could say that summer vacation is beckoning, but alas… Oh well, I really like what I do, I’m not going to complain and I am planning LGF’s birthday present which involves crossing borders. For the both of us.

Every year LGF and I have the distinct pleasure of attending the graduation show of the notorious and prestigious Antwerp Fashion Academy (also known as the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp) that boasts the great Walter Van Beirendonck as its headmaster.  It was a great night and we saw a bunch of talented and promising young designers. You can stream the show live tonight at 8pm CET.
