WHO WE BE/WHAT WE DO

KNOTORYUS in 1,2,3 easy steps.

KNOTORYUS is a content and communications agency with two people at the helm: Stefaan Pauwels and Dominique Nzeyimana. Stefaan leads the copywriting department. Dominique leads the production department. Since the founding of KNOTORYUS in 2002, we’ve sat in boardrooms, braindrained, wrote, re-wrote, produced, styled, pitched, brand-dialogued and summoned our mojo for the biggest brands on the planet. And because we both have a background in fashion journalism, we also write and put together stylings for assorted print magazines. We’ve been published in a.o. ELLE Belgium and Glam*it, but these days we’re mostly grabbing the cover of DSM (De Standaard Magazine), the weekend lifestyle supplement of one of Belgian’s biggest national newspapers.

To showcase our interests, knowledge and work, we started the KNOTORYUS.com blog. This is where step 2 comes in.

You probably already noticed this: KNOTORYUS.com is a blog.

KNOTORYUS.com pretty much exploded after being linked by the likes of Kanye West, Cool Cats and High Snobiety. What started out as a fun sidenote to our commercial work, soon got us a solid online following. And because we have a lot of experience in marketing and advertising (see step 1), brands started asking us to help them out with their Online PR & Marketing strategy. Soon enough, word spread, and we decided to take it to level 3.

Being good at social media is a skill. Just like designing, copywriting, event production, etc. To help brands tap into the skills of (already succesful) influencers in Belgium and the Netherlands, we started a lifestyle and pop culture superblog with Belgian and Dutch editors/bloggers, with KNOTORYUS acting as chief editor and link between the bloggers, online socialites, PR agencies and brands.

That’s it. You’ve just completed 8 years of KNOTORYUS in about two minutes flat.
