Art Comes First x Fred Perry AW18 Collab (Lookbook + Pieces)

As part of their celebrated collaborative design series, the wildly talented ‘travelling tailors’ of Art Comes First and Fred Perry have released their latest collection. Inspired by their love of rude boy, scooter boy and mod subcultures, the collection has become a non-binary representation of ‘new London’. Noting the pieces represent the past but are meant for life in the present, ACF’s Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh put inclusivity first in this covetable new drop.

With a campaign photographed by Felix AAA and video shot by Autobahn London, the collection emphasizes personal style not being about sex or exclusion, just about being your truest self. Combining their signature ‘Parisian savoir-faire, Mayfair refinement and borderless practicality’ with an affinity for punk customization, the first drop contains pieces like a heavy cotton sweatshirt with piqué-textured front, an oversized logo scarf in a merino wool, a cotton-blend piqué track jacket and a chunky fisherman’s hat, rib-knitted in a merino blend to don during all of your “rudeboy skankin’”. One of each, please. Make it two, actually.

More pieces, like the oversize parka, will be dropping soon.

If you’re in London right now, be sure to also catch the “Fashion In Motion” live fashion show series by Carla Fernández at the V&A, which features styling by Art Comes First.
