“Mauri Tapia lives and records in La Colonia, Oxnard, CA with his brother and friends. They play and release music under the name Los Retros on Stones Throw Records.” This video is not a classic promo cut, it’s more of mini-documentary about how Mauri started recording with his brother in his parents’ house. It’s pretty sweet. I sincerely hope Los Retros becomes part of the soundtrack of the summer, 2019. It seems to come from a really good place. It sounds like people hanging out together and being themselves. The world needs more of that.
