Amindi says: "When I was in middle school, I had this thick obsession with Tim Burton, Tarantino, and John Hughes movies, which is kind of a random mix of mainstream directors, but I just loved '80s/'90s rom-coms like Say Anything. That's kind of where I drew inspiration from for this video, at least for the stereo/balcony moment. I wanted a cinematic representation of girls being about their money.” Cuffing season just ended, methinks.
