Hearing Pete Tong describe Amelie Lens, currently Corona-cocooning with her cats about 10km from where I am typing this, as a “techno heavy hitter” puts a smile on my slightly pandemic-worn frowny face. We’ve happily worked with Amelie on photo shoots, happily munched on her vegan granola brand (Dominique says it was the best she has ever tasted and she misses it dearly, but understands being a DJ superstar doesn’t mix with a career in breakfast foods ), happily went to see her spin at store openings, then happily went to see her draw huge crowds (and do her brand of step aerobics) at festivals... It makes sense we’re now happily posting her massive Essential Mix and watching her Instagram Live stream hit a million viewers (easy). Apart from her being a genuinely nice human being, her sets are the real deal.
