Daniel Avery’s newest album Love + Light, when experienced on headphones, sometimes feels less like sound and more like gentle, well-meaning pressure on the membrane covering your cerebral folds. The fragile “Into The Arms Of Stillness” slowly fills up with beats that wouldn’t have felt awkward on a FSOL Nineties-tracklist and the overall effect is - inexplicably - positive instead of eerie so take 5 (or 5:45) and get floaty with it.
