* FANGIRL SCREECH * That’s how Soundcloud user ‘Paradoxian Demon’ welcomed the drop of a new half-hour mixtape created by Noodle of Gorillaz. I gladly join in the canon of screams, because it’s pretty perfect. Noodle stated finding a bunch of ‘kick-ass women who in their own individual ways are true pioneers in the writing, production and creation of music’ while she was looking for new sounds and inspiration. The tape features a seamless blend of Bulgarian choral music and gems like ‘Szechuan’ by Fatima Al Qadiri with the 1960s theme tune to Doctor Who.

Gorillaz are slated to release a new album in 2017 which would be their first in 7 years. Vic Mensa and De La Soul should be featured in some capacity so it’s safe to say we’ll be shook like 2-D when that day comes. TRACKLIST:
