THE HORRORS - NEW ALBUM PREVIEW (May Release)

the-horrors.JPG This isn't a fuzzy picture. This is what the cover of the new The Horrors album looks like.

Thank you Jan @ Beggars & XL for sending us this mad disc.

Produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead and Chris Cunningham, it's not an easy listen. It took me a few days to get used to its sludgy, shoegazer sound. But to be honest this is such a refreshing break from the instant bounce and bloghop everyone else is making these days.

We already posted the video to my favourite track: the single 'sea within a sea' and you know I don't leak when I'm not allowed, but as an extra treat you can listen to (and download) frontman Faris Badwan's  live set at Club Durr last year. If you're not into shoegazer, skip the first half hour and go straight to the rockabilly stuff.

Both the album and the mix are highly recommended.
