Gil Scott-Heron is a hero of mine. If you don't know his stuff, start with this classic. While most heroes fade away when they get older or burn out when they're young, this man's work is stronger than ever. His new album "I'm New Here" (great title!) will be out in about three weeks.

The first single "Me and the Devil" is genius and I'm glad to see it's gotten the video it deserves: creepy, strong, unflinching, it shows the darkness lurking behind the overused expression 'urban jungle'.
