GET A DAVID SHRIGLEY TATTOO
I've never really seriously considered getting a tattoo. But I'm really appreciative of the fact that the few nights I did ponder the idea, I was too drunk to remember it the next day. Otherwise I would've been the millionth "I'm not a tramp although my stamp might be sending out mixed messages. Sorry bout that" chick. Yes, we are talking the early 00's here. Or worse- maybe I would've had to live my life with badly drawn angel wings on my shoulders (haha, not true, no amount of voddy in the world would have ever made me want to get that).
LGF however has had this beautiful crazy huge design shelved for some years now. And I hope he gets it one day. His tattoo artist of choice is London-based and is, as I understand pretty fucking expensive.
David Shrigley, one of our favourite artists however, is offering his services (almost) for free.
The tattoos are temporary and will last about a week. Enough time to get them traced by a real tattooist.

Press Release :
Tattoo Event at Frieze Art Fair 2010
David Shrigley will be making temporary tattoos for visitors on Thursday 14th October.
He will do whatever you like wherever you like (within reason), though ideally he will come up a design there and then and do it straight onto your person with no preparation; that being his way. 10 mins is allocated to each person so large complicated designs are not really possible.
The tattoos will all be temporary; they last about one week, so If you want to have it inked-in by a tattooist at a later date you have time to consider your folly.
All tattoos are free of charge though you need to pay admission to the fair which costs a hair-raising £25 (£15 conc.)
If you feel particularly grateful for what you get and are able to afford it then D Shrig recommends a donation to Médecins Sans Frontières who are doing particularly vital work for the flood victims of Pakistan at the moment. http://www.msf.org
There are 36 slots allocated on a first come first served basis, 11 am until 6.30 pm D Shrig will also being tattooing on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th for the private view, but you need to already have an invitation for this.
