The Hell’o Monsters collective is ready for you to see their latest creations now. The prolific trio consisting of Belgian artists Antoine Detaille, François Dieltiens and Jerôme Meynen will be debuting a new exhibition named ‘dyade’ at our beloved A.L.I.C.E. Galleryin Brussels on November 10th, with what looks like another beautiful display of their idiosyncratic and enveloping style.
According to Pythagorean Greek philosophy, the dyad represents the number two, the principle of otherness and duality. It’ll be interesting to see up-close if and how this concept applies to the show. When KNOTORYUS last spoke to Hell’o they were ready to lift their name to the next step. It’s good to see them doing just that in 2016, by splaying their giant creatures across the streets of Nantes and Breda, taking Montréal by storm and working with IKEA on a global collab.
The new works displayed will include acrylic on canvas paintings as well as airbrushing on paper and a special tapestry collaboration with Brussels textile designer Ani Bedrossian. I can’t deal with the amazing tapestry (Walter, Dirk, I mean come on) coming out of Belgium this year. From the small teaser posted by Hell’o founder Antoine Detaille I can already tell this one’s also going to shut it down.
