Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Gucci, Huxtable, Vanderperre Moments For Your Consideration

Gucci, Huxtable, Vanderperre Moments For Your Consideration

Hopefully you’re reading this on a scorching beach squinting over the rim of your shades while holding your phone upside down “‘cause that really gets the WiFi juices flowing”. Hopefully you haven’t even picked up a newspaper lately because you’d only have to instantly slap it back down screeching “Not today, Satan”. Hopefully you’re hiking with your family and someone left an unlocked, fully charged iPad on this exact web page perched on a rock and your interest can’t help but be piqued. If none of that’s the case: here are some things to quench your spirit thirst, as the dog days creep closer.

No we’re wearing the Gucci, mother

Okay, so Formation is finally coming to Belgium this weekend and I’m bursting at the seams with anticipation. I’ve managed to dodge concert footage for months, like I was curving a particularly odious ex at a party, and I’m drained. The adorable mother-daughter Gucci moment Beyoncé posted this week got me even more in my feelings (9 times out of 10, remember) and I’m now fully ready to ascend into the pyrotechnic heavens come Sunday. Also, that “I got you sis” Jay elevator pic delivered my life on a handcart.

Juliana Huxtable in that catsuit

I let out a spontaneous “Okay yes” when I found out House of Ladosha’s Juliana Huxtable was one of the faces of the upcoming Kenzo x H&M collaboration and I can’t wait to see her plastered all over the high street I live in. Also, Nancy Sinatra, I don’t know what you’re working on these days but ‘These Gloves Were Made For Voguing’ might get you back on these charts, girl.

Melancholia

For LOVE’s autumn issue, the greats Willy VanderperreOlivier RizzoPeter Philips and Gary Gill teamed up with muse Julia Nobis to create ‘Melancholia’. Shot in Antwerp (note to self: wander afield more, you can always say you were catching Pokémon if you happen upon an amazing shoot), the story is instantly arresting and eerily beautiful. (Also, that custom silver silk sequin Prada with the Vetements trousers and Balenciaga go-go platforms is my ultimate school drop-off look.)
