Antwood - Delphi
“Antwood” will forever be on my good side after naming their second album “Sponsored Content”. Their newest project is named after “Delphi”, a fictional teenager who experiences love and loss. The “Delphi” video (mixing together several album tracks) feels like an emotionally risky version of The Sims, directed by Ari Aster. It’s hard to put the music in a genre-shaped box, but suffice to say its emotions range from sweet to sweeping all the way to horrific. Although mostly instrumental, there are lyrics, such as “On my break I go to a coffeeshop. I connect to the Internet and then connect to you. I send you a hostile message. Then I buy a cheeseburger and eat it in the sun.” Relatable!
