Using AI, Holly Herndon covers Dolly Parton’s iconic Jolene, but not really. It’s actually Holly’s own deepfake version of herself, Holly+, an AI which was trained with Holly’s vocal data. The video shows Holly in a country landscape, but it doesn’t. It’s “really” a 3D rendition of Holly and a 3D engineered landscape, designed by Team Rolfes, also using a specifically trained AI.
