Holy crap.
Major Lazer is continuing their ongoing bombardment of all things essential (see: shirts, mishka mix, essential mix) with an incredibly outrageous video for the best track on their debut album: 'Pon De Floor'. This is the first 'mainstream' video showing the latest dance hype in Jamaica: 'daggering'.
For those of you who don't know, daggering is basically the rudest dance ever, bordering on physical abuse. It's an extremely aggressive form of dry-humping where gentlemen prefer to 'dagger' the ladies, sometimes taking a running start or jumping off ladders to achieve maximum effect.
Let's see Madonna trying to steal that one for her new video. Daggering is quite controversial because, well, it's violent. But Major Lazer, instead of toning it down, turned the crazy dial completely to the right, using dayglow antics and computer-generated backdrops to melt all the defensive, rational parts you might have left in your brain.
