Kelly Moran is a prepared piano player and composer who is about to drop her new album “Ultraviolet” on Warp Records. If the entire album is as stunning as ‘In Parallel’, it just might edge its way into my personal top three for 2018. The press release definitely sounds promising, mentioning ‘influences from classical composition and black metal, prepared piano and synthed-out electronica, jazz and minimalism.’ The video is for ‘In Parallel’ is a mesmerising miasma of molten colours shapeshifting along with the musical flow.
