Cybotron Returns With First Live Show at Barbican, London

Cybotron Returns With First Live Show at Barbican, London

Cybotron is a Detroit electro group founded in the early 80s by artists Juan Atkins and Richard "3070" Davis often credited for laying the groundwork for modern electronic music. Remember those famous Super Mario-esque quickly gliding scales giving Missy Elliott’s ‘Lose Control’ its feverish tempo? Sampled from Cybotron’s landmark ‘83 single ‘Clear’. Almost forty years on, Cybotron is now solely headed by Juan Atkins - also dubbed ‘the originator of techno’ - and set to return in a grand live experience starting at Barbican Centre, London as from April 2019.

Cybotron ‘Enter’ debut album (1983)

Serving you the unique origins of Detroit techno and 80s electronica, the Cybotron Live show will debut new material from the forthcoming album alongside original classics in a setting co-created with visual technologists Pilot. The show will travel from cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris, Dublin, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, Madrid, Warsaw, Stockholm, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Sao Paolo and St Petersburg and will be held at big festivals from 2019 to 2021.
