On Episode 6 of The Most podcast, unflinching visual artist & fashion and graphic designer Kofi Von Ohene visits Dominique in the loft. Barely out of his teens, Von Ohene has already reached legendary status among his own and a younger generation with his eponymous Von Ohene line. Don’t expect a daily play-by-play on IG though, this Ghent-born and raised 23-year-old fiercely protects his online presence. On the episode, Kofi gets into the reason his football dreams fell through and how it led him to graphic design and fashion. He also discusses what the infamous ‘696’ is all about and how Tom Hardy inspiration brought him his first important co-sign.
Dominique lays out why she asked Kofi to come through: “I am surrounded by a lot of incredibly cool kids. My daughter and her friends are up on everything and I mentor some youth through KNOTORYUS. I kept hearing all of them drop the name ‘Kofi Von Ohene’. So, of course, I got curious. I also think it’s incredibly important having different platforms to make room for the younger generation, so they have safe spaces to grow and hear themselves think and express their thoughts. Kofi might still be rather new to this and his story doesn’t have the arch yet of someone with 20 years of experience, the graphics he’s designing at his age and the way he is carving a path through this industry merit this invitation. He was a bit shy and hesitant, but the day after recording he sent me a message that now that he feels comfortable, he has so much more he wants to discuss next time.”
