If you stare long enough, this new campaign will warm your winter-chilled bones quite nicely. It’s acclaimed artist, boarder, designer, Kate Moss-represented model and all-round gem Blondey McCoy for Berluti SS20. Lensed by long-time friend and collaborator Alasdair McLellan in Rome, this is the famed photographer’s third campaign for Berluti under the artistic direction of Kris Van Assche. In the words of Kris: “Blondey immaculately blends the qualities of an old soul with the lust for life of a new generation. For Berluti, which historically catered to the likes of Greta Garbo, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Patti Smith, his refined rebellious attitude is the spirit with which this maison is entering a new decade.”
Everything’s coming up Blondey once more. The London stalwart recently relaunched his label Thames, with plans of making it ‘the ultimate clothing and skateboard company, but also something far more integral to young society’s wellbeing’. McCoy also dropped an Adidas collab and penned a powerful piece on his life with addiction and being sober for 3 years, which you can read here. McCoy plans to organise a support group soon for young people. No choice but to stan, really.
Berluti SS20 will be available online & in stores soon. The AW20 collection will be shown in Paris on January 17 2020.
