The amazing folks at philanthropic streetwear label HYPEPEACE have drip-dropped a new collection entitled ‘Protest Gear’ and the name says it all. Supporting revolutionary protesters worldwide, HYPEPEACE worked on the ‘Protest Gear’ collection with U.S.-based media activist Palika Makam - whose work as programme manager at WITNESS involves training and supporting activists globally for using video in their fight for human rights and exposing injustice. This new drop includes a windbreaker, hoodie and longsleeve that you can wear - and write on - to make your voice heard and protect yourself during protests.
Here’s how it works: the tops in this new collection are emblazoned with safety tips, info on what to do if you get teargassed and ways to protest effectively. They even feature a QR code linking you to relevant info to support protesters. But, very importantly, these pieces also include reusable black- or whiteboard spaces for you to write your slogans on as wearable protest signs. Each piece will include a marker pen and an eraser pad so you can spread all of the messages you need to further your case. You can also use specially alotted spaces to write down emergency phone numbers, just in case. Know your rights and make yourself heard. Go here to support and purchase.
