BADBADNOTGOOD are perhaps most known for their hip hop affiliations (Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface, Tyler The Creator, etc.), but with their new album “Talk Memory” (a reference to V. Nabokov, perhaps?) they are unapologetically claiming their spot in the ‘serious’ Jazz pantheon. (Peep the collab with absolute legend Laraaji). The single “Timid, Intimidating” is a highly satisfying ride with a trippy collage video by Winston Hacking and should serve you well as a gateway to the album, or to their recent NTS Radio episode with local hero Lefto.
