It’s the end of an era and the dawn of an even more major one. Reebok by Pyer Moss will release ‘Collection 4’ worldwide on Saturday, March 26 at 5PM CET (12 PM EST), the first drop of the final Reebok by Pyer Moss collaboration. Relinquishing his role as Reebok global creative director, freeform artist Kerby Jean-Raymond is moving on to further his greatness through newer ventures like Your Friends In NYC, his web-stopping couture, building out Pyer Moss & whatever beautiful ideas are still maturing while he drifts into the sunset in a McLaren 720S.
Inspired by statues and artefacts, the collection is centred around “spirituality, self-portrayal, affiliation, devotion, and the ability to relate to people within our own communities”. The official statement continues: “By focusing on our communities and focusing on the process of healing, we turn to look inward, with the understanding that facing reflection is the only way to see yourself as a deity; believing that all is within us as the ultimate goal of becoming a supreme being. We’ve been told that it’s unhealthy to see oneself as a GOD and now more than ever, people are faced with social constructs that often hinder their ability to become holistic in one’s journey.” A WORD for a collection of compelling full looks that play with pattern, signature oversized-yet-cropped styles, exaggerated details (like hoodie laces and mock necks) and rapturous prints in shades of red and blue.
The genderless ‘Collection 4’ will be available to buy from PyerMoss.com, Reebok.com/pyer_moss, Saks Fifth Avenue, SSENSE & select retailers globally on Saturday, March 26 2022 from 5PM CET. Alarms!
Also: keep an eye on Kerby’s IG, as he’s announced he’s letting go of 20 unreleased runway samples of the ‘Experiment G’ sneaker on the same day (26/03). These are the type of shoes you take out insurance for.
