FOR THE NOW by Flanders DC platforms emerging and established Belgium-based designers. For the sixth time, they are hosting a design industry event for connecting, growing and flower-giving. This year, FOR THE NOW is beaming the spotlight from Tour & Taxis in Brussels on November 16-17. Part of the key programming is the not-to-be-missed panel talk hosted by KNOTORYUS’ own Dominique Nzeyimana, titled ‘From Unseen to Unstoppable: Breaking Barriers and Building Influence in the Design Space’ (16/11). The main questions tackled: how do designers overcome disparities, build momentum and create lasting impact? And what strategies help them push boundaries while staying true to their core beliefs?
For the occasion, truly special guests and design/art multi-disciplinaries Farida Sedoc, Nabil Aniss, Shun Yoon and Alex Akuete will be sharing their stories and savvy on getting through challenges and biases in the sprawling, shifting design industry. As they provide insights on how they self-shaped their practices across disciplines, you’ll learn how to navigate creative and personal hurdles, embrace innovation and build community.
