2017, what’s good? If you’re reading this, I hope you’re feeling happy and healthy and if your backing vocals are a hot mess, I pray you can brush it off too. Let’s ease into this year with ‘Say Something Loving’ by The xx, the shiny new sophomore single from the band’s upcoming album ‘I See You’.
Today's drop was prefaced by a candid video of Romy, Jamie and Oliver performing the track in a Tokyo karaoke bar. All of this cute content isn’t discouraging me from my zealous quest to be betrothed to Oliver Sim, but that’s beside the point.

Though the song is patently about finding love after being deprived of affection for too long, I’ma go ahead and interpret the message differently. I plan to say something loving every day of this year because – in the important words of queen Aaliyah – we need a resolution. So, I admire the elegant way you clicked the link to this story and might I add, your reflection in the screen is particularly fetching plus your eyebrows give me life. It's that simple, folks.
