Say what you will about Young Money's ego and obtuse lyrics: even the wait for a Lil' Wayne release is more fun than anything any other rapper is doing right now. There's the daily dose of mixtapes flooding the internet, which means fans have to listen to hours and hours and hours old stuff, bad recordings and 17-minute long skits and radio interviews to get to a decent new song. There's the rumours about the new Carter album (It's all rock, it's all Kanye, it's all Jazz, it's all freestyle: take your pic...). There's the Weezy blog (watch it after the jump), the ad for Gatorade (also after the jump)... and then there's the music.
Normally I don't post leaks, but since Kanye did it and he's BFF with Pharrell, I guess it's ok.
"Yes" feat. Pharrell.
It isn't guitar, it isn't jazz... it's full on Dubstep with (surprise!) autotune and a Chuck D (Public Enemy) sample. The judges are still out on this one. As far as I know, this is the first leak of a Carter IV track, or maybe it's a teaser for the "Young Money 3" mixtape coming out soon? [youtube X4dm-OnmLXY nolink]
