When Delphine Arnault, the second biggest shareholder of LVMH (she owns 7,5%) showed up for Gareth Pugh A/W 09 show, it set tongues wagging...
Was LVMH acquiring a stake in the British fashion house? Or was Pugh being tapped as the new designer for Dior Homme, hereby succeeding Hedi Slimane and Kris Van Assche?
"Well placed sources" have now confirmed the latter and the announcement that Pugh will take over from Van Assche is expected any time now. I'm hoping this will give Kris Van Assche more time to spend on his own two lines which are my favourite right now. Maybe design some stomping boots for girls...
Gareth Pugh A/W 09-10 Dior Homme A/W 09-10
I think the Dior Homme A/W 09-10 collection that was created by Van Assche -and which will probably be his last- was absolutely exquisite. I especially love the turtle neck shirts.
By the way, great taste in male models sir!
