[youtube scJ8ITsZsl4 nolink] Jack White really likes the number three: at the launch of his new label 'Third Man Records', he unveiled his new (third) band: The Dead Weather.
The line-up: Jack White (White Stripes) on vocals and drums. Alison Mosshart (VV) from the Kills, also on vocals. Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) on guitar. Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) on bass. This is their first cool sludge-fest of a single: "Hang You From the Heavens".
More after the jump, including The Dead Weather cover of Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric".
A full album called "Horehound" was recorded in Nashville in less than 15 days and should be out in June on "Third Man" records.
Tour dates will follow soon.
