There are certain posts on KNOTORYUS.com that get Google's long tail wagging, setting off wave after wave of visitors for months on end. Ariel Pink posts are not like that. Ariel Pink posts are more like tiny gigs at 4 in the afternoon on a nearly deserted festival site. In front of the stage are about 100 people experiencing what they instinctively know is the future of music. A few years later, about ten people in that crowd start new bands and reinvent music all over again. And when they interview those bands ten years later, they will say: "It all started when I first heard Ariel Pink."
FACT Magazine asked the man-boy-genius to come up with mix of his own influences. (As they did earlier with a.o. The XX and Lindstrom) The mix includes Prince, Devo and unknown Russians and will be available for three weeks.
