Have you digested 2018 yet? Give it some time. Maybe about 6 hours? Would that work? Perfect. That’s about the length of this 2018 playlist we made. 2019 is working out already, you guys. It’s gonna be fine. Now, let’s be clear: this is by no means a top 119. Some of our absolute favourites don’t come on until way at the end (Soulwax, Jay-Z, IDLES, Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc.) It’s more of a Spotify mixtape (we’ll do a Tidal one soon, promise), so you can put it on and let it play from front to end if you like, or skip across the surface to see if there’s any nuggets you need to steal for your own playlist or new artists you need to keep tabs on in 2019. It’s got plenty of the big hits, some weird stuff, some really underrated releases and some of those “That came out last year? Wow. How long was 2018?”-tunes.
