MoMu - Fashion Museum Antwerp Reopens (Oct 8 - 9 2022)

Autumn is looking up! The much-awaited reopening of fashion culture hub MoMu - Fashion Museum Antwerp is within arm’s reach. During the weekend of October 8 2022, MoMu will festively reopen and celebrate its new dawn with a giddy-making line-up of exhibitions, a new book, free tours, workshops and activities for all.

THE LINE-UP
On Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9, MoMu will return in full form after a period of necessary additional technical renovations. Between 10 AM & 6 PM, everyone’s invited and here are the plans:

There will be three exhibitions for you to savour all at once. New in: expo 'MIRROR MIRROR – Fashion & the Psyche', which keys in on the bond between fashion, psychology, the self and human identity; a double-feature collab with Dr. Guislain Museum in Ghent. Also on display: 'Exploding Fashion: From 2D to 3D tot 3D Animation', which investigates pattern-making in 20th-century fashion and showcases digitally reanimated historic designs. And of course, the Permanent Collection presentation will be back on view. You can take it all in with free guided tours from 11 AM to 5 PM on 8 and 9 October.

During the opening weekend, kids & families can come create their own dolls from upcycled nylon stockings at the ‘Bizarre Bunnies Workshop’ and if you want to browse the MoMu Library, you are most welcome to. There’s also a ‘Mindful MoMu’ yoga session scheduled, inspired by vinyasa flow, on Saturday or Sunday morning to get you all aligned for the new season.
