“If Only It Was Warmth” doesn’t have lyrics as much mantras of regret. The phrase “I'm running out of space for your mistakes” is like an error message when your emotional hard drive needs parsing. And “If only it was warmth that you held” sounds like someone trying to justify letting go of a relationship that’s gone cold. The video, self-directed by Archy, is a sequence of images equally reluctant to be pinned down to a storyline narrative. There are snakes slithering about, fires being gazed into and a lone cactus keeping Archy company on his journey. The new album title “Heavy Space” seems apt indeed, as the music is sparse, creating plenty of negative space, and the air is thick with heavy feels.
