A dream of peace, that’s what motivated Belgian labels Honest By (read our interview with founder Bruno Pieters here) and Pluto On The Moon to collaborate. It’s not hard to see why, a short blood-curdling scroll through any of your feeds will tell you. Inspired by the two legendary 1969 ‘bed-ins’ staged by John Lennon and Yoko Ono (during which the pair spent 12 hours a day for a week in bed talking about world peace) they came up with a capsule collection of comfortable casualwear.
The limited edition collection, each piece made in accordance with Honest By’s sustainability and 100% production transparency protocol, consists of a pair of pajamas, a night gown and a dressing robe. With this collection and quotes like “The revolution starts with you” or “Every informed customer is an engine for peace”, Bruno Pieters further strengthens his legacy as one of the key actors in modern sustainable fashion and eco-responsible collaborations. Aline Walther – an Antwerp Fashion Academy classmate of Pieters – launched casual womenswear brand Pluto On The Moon with An Kluft in 2012 and felt it was high time to finally work with Pieters.
We’re all the better for it. Just looking at these comfy pieces gives me fade-out wind chime fantasies of Christmas morning, so they’ve landed just in time.
‘Honest By Pluto On The Moon’ will be available as from November 24th via www.honestby.com.
