Young Belgian fashion label CXL STILL (‘cancel still’) keeps evolving and you really should be paying attention.
The slow fashion concept, founded by womenswear designer Tom De Poortere and stylist/exec Barbara Vermoere (who both earned their stripes at Essentiel), just dropped ‘WAVE 2’ – a collection inspired by Japanese workwear, famous geishas, streetwear, karate and memories of Oostduinkerke (the seaside village Vermoere grew up in, ODK represent).
The limited and exclusive ‘WAVE 2’ range includes pieces like velvet dresses, obi belts, kimonos and twill cargo pants and prices go from 115 to 245 euros. CXL STILL is produced in Europe in small batches that are sold during various moments throughout the year, eschewing conventional fashion calendars and keeping the production sustainable.
